If you are looking for the ultimate beach hut, come and join Christchurch Windsurfing Club...situated on the South Coast in beautiful Christchurch, Dorset with the nearby Highcliffe Sailing Club being the watersports training camp location for the 2012 Olympics !
Whether you are a windsurfer or not, the very reasonably priced yearly membership entitles you to full use of the clubhouse which sits at the top of Steamer Point in the glorious area of Christchurch. The clubhouse consists of a kitchen, changing rooms and showers (ladies and gents) and use of the patio area overlooking Friar's Cliff and Avon Beach. Mudeford Quay is to hand where you can sample fresh fish and seafood and take the ferry across to yet another sandy beach.
Steamer Point Nature Reserve hugs the cliff top above Highcliffe beach in Dorset on the south coast of England. It was originally part of the garden and associated land of Highcliffe Castle. Lord Bute was the first owner of this area and built a mansion on the current site of Highcliffe Castle in the late 18th century.
A yearly membership will give you the following:-
Full use of clubhouse - including kitchen with beer fridge
Ladies and Gents separate changing facilities with showers
Board storage *
Venue hire - family BBQ, party, wedding reception drinks, day out with extended family (see below)
Use it as a beach hut if you are not a windsurfer, but just want to come down with your family for a day at the beach - coffee and tea making facilities with hot water
1 minute walk from beautiful Highcliffe sandy beach Use of patio - BBQ available or bring a picnic and settle down for the evening and watch the sunset Patio furniture available to use.
* One board stored may have up to a maximum of three sails, two masts and two booms stored with it. Any additional equipment must be paid for as a second board at the same rate. The first month and key fee for storage must be paid by cash or cheque. Subsequent months storage to be paid by standing order directly into the club bank account.
